ジャコビニ・チンナー彗星が
近日点を通過する（最接近）
1900年にミシェル・ジャコビニが発見し、
1913年にエルンスト・ツィナーが再発見したこの彗星は
りゅう座流星群（旧称ジャコビニ流星群）の母天体
チンナー（ツィナー）の再発見までジャコビニ彗星と呼ばれていた
この彗星の遠日点は木星軌道の外側にある
木星属彗星であり
ソーラーシステム最大の惑星木星の重力によって軌道が変わる
わずかな変化でも地球軌道との位置関係が大きくかわるため
２０世紀中には３回大きな変化を迎え、1958年には
軌道が大幅に地球から遠ざかったものの
1969年９月、ふたたび軌道が地球に近づいた
そのため
再び ジャコビニ流星群も見られるようになった
8月下旬から９月下旬まで
ジャコビニ・チンナー彗星は７等前後まで明るくなると予測されている
今回の回帰は、
非常に観測的にも恵まれ
近日点通過は肉眼でも観測可能といわれている...
あまり ｎｅｗｓにもなっていないようだけど
