気候変動が２０世紀後半からの急激な温暖化、過去2000年前例なし
という研究結果がネイチャーで発表された...というnewsがあがっていた
それで
ふと思ったのが
海水準変動のこと
いまから
6000年前は、完新世の気候最温暖期にあたり、
日本でも縄文海進として知られる海水準変動が起こった。
海水準変動とは、
地質時代の世界的な海水準（陸地に対する海面の相対的な高さ）
の変化に対して用いられる言葉で。
海水準が上昇することは海進（かいしん）、
下降することは海退（かいたい）と呼ばれる。
古気候の研究者によると
現在を氷河時代とみなし、
地質時代の中でも海水準は比較的低く、
海水準の上昇と低下が頻繁に起こる時代とされる。
過去の記録から、
およそ1万8千年前の最終氷期最盛期から6千年前までの間にかけて、
海水準が120m以上上昇。
3千年前以降19世紀までの海水準の変動率は
ほぼ一定で0.1-0.2 mm/年程度だったのが、
1900年以降は1-3 mm/年と上昇している
ちなみに
現在よりも平均的な海水準が低かったのは、
2億5千万年前のP-T境界（ペルム紀／三畳紀境界）付近の間のみ
過去数百万年の新生代氷河時代における氷期-間氷期サイクルでは、
海水準は100m以上の変動を示している。
主に海から蒸発した水が（ほとんどは北半球で）
氷床として固定され成長する時に海水準が低下、
後退するときに融解水が海洋に供給されることによって
海水準が上昇するからである。
現在のグリーンランドと南極の氷床が溶けると、
海水準はおよそ80m上昇すると予測されている
地球の海面水位は毎年着々と上昇し。
氷河や氷床の融解、それに海水が熱膨張することにより、
海面水位は100年前に比べて平均約20cm上昇
気候変動に関するいまのとこの未来予測では
2100年までに最大98cmくらいと示唆されているものの
もっと早くにこれを超えるんではないかとさえ思う
海面上昇のペースは世界の陸氷の状況に左右されるのに
現実の氷床の融解は過小評価されているからで
北極の氷河の融解
永久凍土の溶解
さらにアルプスやヒマラヤの氷河の消失
人工衛星が撮影した画像から 多くの氷河が消えてるのがわかっているのに
このペースでいけば
太平洋沿岸部の海面水位は他の海域よりさらに速いペースで上昇するだろう
ともいわれている
気候変動が２０世紀後半からの急激な温暖化...

その影響は 予想を上回る影響をもたらす可能性のが大だとおもう
